Clinics of North Texas in Wichita Falls, Texas, is a multi-specialty, physician-owned clinic with a single mission: to provide the same level of healthcare offered in larger cities at a convenient, close-to-home setting. To fulfill this mission, the partners of the Clinics of North Texas knew they needed to replace the center's outdated screen-film mammography equipment with state-of-the-art digital mammography. In 2009, they began the process of selecting the new technology to make Clinics of North Texas an entirely digital facility.
The partners chose to replace the facility's two analog machines with a single Hologic Selenia® digital mammography system. The Selenia system's direct capture technology eliminated the need for a processor and acquired images almost instantaneously, allowing technologists to spend more time with the patient. As a result, the Clinics of North Texas lowered its repeat rates, increased capacity and improved patient throughput.
